Amarillo man sentenced 11 years in prison for methamphetamine

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — An Amarillo man was sentenced to 11 years in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court documents filed on Feb. 25, Jeremiah Eziekel Macias was sentenced to 11 years or 135 months in prison for “Possession with Intent to Distribute 500 Grams or More of Methamphetamine.” Documents indicate that Macias is also required to pay a $100 fine.

Documents also note that the sentencing charge is count two of his indictment filed on June 25, 2025. According to previous reporting by MyHighPlains.com, Macias was originally indicted for one count of alleged “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine” and one count of alleged “possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.”

The alleged charge of “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine” was dismissed upon Macias’ sentencing. Documents note that Macias will be on supervised release for a term of five years upon release from his 11-year sentencing…
