Benton County group calls for ARDOT to study tolls on US 412

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission has forwarded a request to study tolls on U.S. 412 to the Arkansas Department of Transportation.

The Western Benton County Partnership, a nonprofit composed of city officials and business leaders from the area, called for a study of tolls to be added to the NWARPC’s Forward 2050 regional transportation plan.

A letter from the nonprofit sent to the NWARPC as part of the public comment on the 2050 plan, and obtained by KNWA/FOX24, asked the commission to “include a study to determine the feasibility of collecting tolls on U.S. 412 between Tontitown and Siloam Springs to fund the improvements needed to convert U.S. 412 to the future I-42.”…
