WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Hutchinson residents and contractors were warned Friday about an email impersonating a city official.
According to a city spokeswoman, the email impersonates Community Development Director Matt Williams and requests a payment of an invoice via wire transfer.
The city said it never requests payments by wire transfer and that the email didn’t come from an official city account ending in @hutchinson.ks.gov.
