SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (WKRC) – A 2-month-old girl in Missouri died from burns, head injuries, pneumonia and methamphetamine toxicity, and her mother and her mother’s ex-husband are now charged with murder.
According to Ozarks First, Stephanie Hernandez, 29, and Jonathan Gaona, 33, are charged with second-degree murder in connection with the infant’s death Feb. 11, 2025. Both also face charges related to child abuse or neglect and child endangerment, according to court records.
