SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a $1.8 million project aimed at helping traffic flow near the Loop 303 and U.S. 60 interchange in Surprise.
In September, crews started adding new turn lanes from eastbound and westbound Grand Avenue to 163rd Avenue, west of the Loop 303 interchange. They also widened the southbound Loop 303 off-ramp by adding a third left-turn lane onto Grand Avenue.
The southbound Loop 303 on-ramp from Grand Avenue was also widened to give drivers more space to merge. Crews added an eastbound US 60 right-turn lane as drivers approach Loop 303.
