Lane Community College and faculty union reach tentative 4-year contract agreement

LANE COUNTY, OR — After nearly a year of negotiations that union leaders say came close to a strike, Lane Community College and its faculty union have reached a tentative agreement on a new four-year contract.

The tentative deal follows 15 bargaining sessions, three mediation sessions and about 11 months of negotiations. The agreement includes cost-of-living raises, pay increases for part-time faculty, stronger privacy rights and expanded anti-discrimination protections.
