Woman accused of dismembering another woman in 2007, collecting food stamps, Section 8 benefits in victim’s name

ATLANTA (ANF/Gray News) – A Georgia woman has been charged in connection with the death of a woman found dismembered in 2007, according to authorities.

Angel Thompson was indicted on more than 80 counts by a Fulton County grand jury, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, concealing a death and dozens of counts related to fraud and identity theft.

Thompson is accused of killing 24-year-old Nicole Alston in 2007.

In December 2007, Alston’s body was found at an intersection inside a burning black bag. Her head, hands and feet were missing, and she was not identified until 2024…
