BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Bakersfield man was sentenced to over 24 years in federal prison for transporting over 130 pounds of meth to Tampa International Airport in Florida. The investigation also led authorities to connect the man to an unrelated drug and kidnapping case in Holiday, Florida, back in 2023.
The DOJ said 32-year-old Jacob Paul Arjona of Bakersfield has been sentenced to 24 years and 6 months in federal prison for conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
This sentence is to be served concurrently with Arjona’s sentence in a separate federal methamphetamine trafficking and kidnapping case, in which he was sentenced in August 2025 to 17 years and 7 months’ imprisonment…
