Invasive plants cost Virginia billions, Charlottesville group works to address problem

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Invasive plants are crowding out native species and costing Virginia billions of dollars in damage to farms, livestock, and landscapes.

On Friday, February 27, a group of Charlottesville and Albemarle County organizations met to address the problem. The Charlottesville Invasive Plant Partnership, or CHIPP, held its second annual open house at City Space, bringing together community members and partner groups.
