DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) — Plans to transform The Bogey Inn in Dublin into a golf-theme “entertainment campus” have been scrapped, according to the company behind the project.
Hana Hesselgesser, who joined Rise Brands as CEO in January, confirmed to NBC4-partner The Columbus Dispatch that the company is scrapping its proposed redevelopment of the former bar and restaurant at 6013 Glick Road. Hesselgesser described the decision as “disappointing” and said the envisioned project was not feasible at the Bogey Inn site.

She added that the company remains “excited about the potential of bringing in a golf-related concept under the Rise Brands umbrella.”
Further, a Rise Brands representative confirmed in a phone call with NBC4 that the company is no longer moving forward with the plans.
Rise announced in January 2025 that it planned to reopen The Bogey Inn in summer 2026, replacing the existing structure with a new, year-round venue featuring indoor and outdoor bars, a food hall, live entertainment and a 36-hole putting course. The company said at the time it would preserve the Bogey Inn name to retain the bar’s “history, nostalgia, and a bit of its original charm.”…
