Illegal hunting complaint leads to drug trafficking arrests in Limestone County

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office says two people are facing multiple charges – including drug trafficking – following an investigation that began with an illegal hunting complaint.

According to the sheriff’s office, the case started in December 2025 when Alabama Conservation Officers responded to a report of people illegally hunting on private property in the Tanner community.

Officers said they found several people occupying tree stands belonging to the property owner. When officers told the people to stop, they allegedly ended up running away while armed.
