KALAMAZOO, MI – The Dundee wrestling program capped off a dominant run to its ninth straight Division 3 team state championship on Saturday at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo.
The Vikings also claimed bragging rights as the best wrestling team in the state this winter after defeating the three other state champions in Detroit Catholic Central (Division 1), Lowell (Division 2) and Hudson (Division 4) during the regular season.
The top-ranked team in Division 3 breezed through the weekend with a 70-3 win over Allegan in the state quarterfinals, added a 63-6 win over Lake Odessa Lakewood in the state semifinals and capped off the championship run with a 60-6 win over Yale in the state finals…
