CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Family members of Josslyn Brown gathered at Eden Park on Saturday to mark what would have been her 26th birthday, three years after her death in a Mt. Auburn apartment complex.
The family held a balloon release in her memory and said they continue to push for justice ahead of the upcoming murder trial.

Court documents show that following a verbal confrontation in February 2023, Jarel Jones allegedly shot Brown in the hallway of the apartment complex where she lived. An affidavit states Jones fled the scene after the shooting.
