Kono’s Northshore, the island-born plate-lunch chain known for its 12-hour slow-roasted kalua pork and hefty Breakfast Bombers, is heading for Dallas as part of a broader Texas push. The Hawaii-based brand plans to bring its hearty plate lunches, bombers and signature island-style sauces to a new storefront in the city, adding some North Shore flavor to local dining when doors eventually open.

According to Pacific Business News, Kono’s plans to open its first Dallas restaurant and franchise three locations across the Dallas region. The outlet reported the move Thursday as part of the chain’s larger expansion on the U.S. mainland.
