Douglas County Health Department warns Holiday Inn water park operating without valid permits

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Douglas County Health Department is issuing a public warning about the downtown Holiday Inn on Cuming Street, saying the hotel’s water park is operating without valid permits.

Back in December, the health department ordered the park to close due to what it calls not complying with mechanical, chemical and safety standards. Those standards are in place to protect swimmers from potential health and safety hazards.

Earlier this week, Omaha police issued a citation to the owner of the hotel. The health department is actively coordinating with the Omaha City Prosecutor’s Office to determine next steps…
