ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Rockford East E-Rabs have taken another big step on the postseason tournament trail. They won the 3A Rochelle Regional Championship Friday night by edging Freeport 70-68. Johntarion Leach scored 20 points for East. Brian Harper Jr. added 17 points, and Marquis Goldsmith scored 13 points.Freeport was led by senior Andrew Seward with 24 points. East advances to the 2A Woodstock North Sectional next Tuesday for a 7 p.m. game against 32-0 Kaneland.Watch the media player for highlights of this game.
