SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Pioneer Park is getting a makeover, and on Friday, the city broke ground, celebrating the start of construction.
“We’re going to miss coming here, but it’s for the better when they’re doing the upgrade; it’ll be better,” Monson Vanuku, a Salt Lake City resident, said.
Plans include a dog park, pickleball courts, basketball court, playground, restrooms, and more. City leaders said it’s time to replace aging infrastructure, but not everyone is happy about it.
