(Spokane, Wash. – Feb. 27, 2026) – Utah Tech track & field qualified five Trailblazers for finals, set two program records, and recorded a second place finish during the first day of the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday at The Podium. As a team, Utah Tech sits in sixth place with 14 points after Friday’s action.
UT’s first points of the championships came in the pentathlon where senior Megan Jenkins racked up 3,537 total points, a program record. Jenkins got off to a hot start placing third in the 60 meter hurdles, then in the final event of the pentathlon, jumped two spots in the final standings by placing fourth in the 800 meter race.
The Trailblazers first qualifier came in the first prelim of the day when Megan Jenkins continued her strong day at the 60 meter hurdles, with a time of 8.67. The 60 meter hurdles final is set for 4:05 p.m. MST tomorrow…
