It wasn’t exactly a “cat stuck in the tree” scenario, but first responders in Clackamas County lived up to that ideal during an animal rescue.
A joint effort Saturday, Feb. 28, by the city of Happy Valley, Happy Valley Police Department, and Clackamas Fire District led to the rescue of an injured female dog from a heavily vegetated water retention pond.
That pup, who first responders affectionately named Sweetie, due to her gentle demeanor despite scary circumstances, was transported to VCA Emergency Veterinary Hospital for treatment…
