Farmland prices have skyrocketed. How does Ann Arbor, southeast Michigan compare?

ANN ARBOR, MI — The average price per acre of farmland in Michigan more than doubled in 20 years.

Some southeast Michigan communities, including in the Ann Arbor area, have seen less drastic price jumps, while the Detroit area saw the price of farmland nearly triple to more than $20,000 per acre on average.
