A Friday afternoon ride on State Route 750 ended in tragedy when a scooter rider was struck and killed in the eastbound lanes near East Powell Road in Delaware County. The crash happened just before 3:45 p.m., prompting emergency crews to respond and troopers to briefly shut down eastbound traffic while they worked the scene and began their investigation. The roadway was reopened later that afternoon.
According to 10TV, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the scooter rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers are withholding the victim’s identity until family members can be notified.
