4 people arrested after giving meth-laced sippy cup to 1-year-old, causing overdose: cops

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. (WKRC) – Four people were accused of failing to call 911 after a 1-year-old was given a sippy cup laced with a bag of methamphetamine, leading to a “possible overdose.”

Deputies with the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office were contacted on February 24 after a 1-year-old child was admitted to a hospital after ingesting methamphetamine, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

“During the investigation, detectives learned the child drank from a sippy cup that the parents later discovered contained a bag at the bottom,” the release read. “A resident of the home confirmed the bag contained methamphetamine.”…
