Murfreesboro passes flag ordinance for businesses

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Businesses in Murfreesboro can now fly much larger flags on their properties, but there are specific requirements they have to meet first.

The Murfreesboro City Council just passed an amended sign ordinance that will allow for larger flags in specific areas in the community.

According to the new rules, this means an American flag no larger than 4,000 square feet can be displayed outside a business’ property, and 150-foot poles are also allowed.
