Man found guilty in 2023 MLK Day murder of Fort Pierce mother

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A man has been found guilty of attempted first-degree murder and other charges in a 2023 MLK Day shooting in Fort Pierce that killed a young mother.

On Friday, Brian Workman, an assistant state attorney, confirmed that Kemmye Parson was convicted of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, second-degree felony murder, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the killing of Nikkitia Bryant.

Parson was arrested back in Tampa in 2023 by the U.S. Marshals and was previously held at the Hillsborough County Jail…
