CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — In a 4-3 decision, Christiansburg Town Council approved the rezoning of 37.9 acres off Kimball Lane from agricultural to residential, after a proposal for a residential development with more than 90 units was submitted by Roger Woody, owner of RWJW Properties, LLC.
“It’s a typical not-in-my-backyard and I understand that I will probably lose a lot of friends tonight,” said Mayor Michael Barber before casting the deciding vote to approve the change.
