Man stuffed woman’s remains in toolbox after stabbing her over 90 times

A woman in Virginia was stabbed multiple times before her remains were placed in a toolbox. She was later discovered thanks to a “single drop of blood,” and her killer was finally sentenced for her murder five years later.

On Wednesday, February 25, 41-year-old Hagen Lawrence Roberts was given life in prison, plus five years, for stabbing Cynthia Capps to death, according to the City of Virginia Beach. This came over three months after a jury found Roberts guilty on charges of first-degree murder and stabbing in the commission of a felony following a three-day trial in November last year.
