A Newark man is charged with carrying a concealed weapon while driving drunk, police said.
The New Castle County Police Department’s Active Crime Trends Team was conducting proactive patrols along the U.S. 40 corridor late Feb. 26 when officers saw a Dodge Challenger rapidly accelerating, spinning its tires and traveling at speeds exceeding 100 mph while committing multiple traffic violations, according to Master Cpl.
