Sedgwick County may extend its data center pause

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Sedgwick County commissioners are feeling the push to continue their pause on data centers.

The county is already halfway through a 90-day hold on new applications that was passed in January.

Next week, during their meeting, commissioners will decide whether to extend it from April 17 to June 11. Chairman Jeff Blubaugh said commissioners would use that extra time to refine policy and get public feedback.
