PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A Washington Gas employee was seriously hurt in the Friday night gas explosion in Prince George’s County.
According to Washington Gas, crews were alerted that a third-party excavation had damaged one of the four-inch service lines in Beltsville.
As crews were repairing the line that was releasing gas around 10:15 p.m., a downed powerline sparked the flames, according to the Prince George’s County Fire Department.
