PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An injured dog is now recovering after being rescued from a large manmade pond in Happy Valley.
Both Happy Valley Police and Clackamas Fire District took part in the rescue.
The female dog, whom rescuers named Sweetie, was stuck in two feet of water in a closed-off water retention pond.

Because the pond is a full acre in size and has overgrown vegetation, Clackamas Fire used a thermal-imaging drone to help in the search.
