Tucson woman seeks $3 million from Tempe after arrest over ‘Game of Thrones’ meme

PHOENIX — A Tucson woman who was arrested after allegedly threatening the Tempe City Council with a “Game of Thrones” meme has filed a $3 million notice of claim against the city.

Police evacuated the council members and 75 other people from the City Chambers last August because of what they said were safety concerns and an “imminent threat that could be similar to the explosion scene in the animated video.”

A user profile named “Kadi Marie” – later linked by police to 56-year-old Kathleen Tierney of Tucson – posted a comment on a city council member’s Facebook page that included a brief video clip of an apocalyptic “Game of Thrones” scene after Queen Cersei destroys her enemies…
