SCHENECTADY, NY (WRGB) — A Speedway convenience store in Schenectady is being ordered to temporarily shut down after the city served it with a nuisance abatement notice, citing repeated violations that officials say are hurting the surrounding area.
The Speedway on 229 S. Brandywine Avenue will be closed for a week starting Monday after accruing more than 100 nuisance points under a city code ordinance that penalizes businesses for continually violating the penal law. The store will reopen the following week.
