A man was arrested in Margate after allegedly assaulting a woman, climbing onto the hood of her moving car, and later stealing her vehicle before she called 911 from a hospital.
According to a Margate Police Department report, James Glenn Hopper, 19, of Boca Raton, was arrested on February 24 following a verbal argument that turned violent. The report indicated the incident began near 700 Banks Road when the victim, while driving with Hopper in the passenger seat, was elbowed by him in the stomach near the Winfield Boulevard and State Road 7.
