Mother of 12-year-old details school fight in Reseda that left daughter dead

The mother of a 12-year-old girl in Reseda who died after a school fight is speaking out, saying her daughter was simply trying to protect her older sister from a group of bullies.

Khimberly Zavaleta’s family says she was hit in the head with a water bottle then later suffered a brain injury. She died at a hospital on Wednesday.
