2 Mississippi residents killed in head-on crash with tractor-trailer in Mobile County

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WDAM) – Two Mississipians died in a multi-vehicle crash in Mobile County early Saturday, Feb. 28, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Daphne D. Peters, 57, of Hattiesburg, and Dexter P. Magee, 58, of Collins, were traveling together in a 2009 GMC Acadia on Ala. 158 when the vehicle collided head-on with a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer.

ALEA said that neither Peters nor Magee was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Both were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene…
