Ice cream testing club offers a sweet escape from the news

This winter, I had a sweet idea for a staff bonding activity, and Wright’s Dairy made it possible.

My cousin Sam had told me about Wright’s Test Batch Club last year, and I socked it away as a gift idea. It’s pretty simple − you sign up, pay a fee and then for 12 weeks, starting in January, you pick up one pint of ice cream to “test” each week. There’s an app and a survey to fill out, and pickup is essentially no-contact. (I get mine at the Blount Clam Shack retail store in Warren, but you can also choose to pick it up at Wright’s locations in Providence and North Smithfield, and at Whittier Farms in Sutton, Massachusetts.)

I thought this would be a fun “ice breaker” at staff meetings (see what I did there?). Now, a pint of ice cream doesn’t go far, but it’s enough to give everyone a taste, and with all the snow we’ve gotten this year, by the time we got to the most recent meeting, I had quite a few pints saved up…
