Sure, Rhode Island got slammed with a record-shattering blizzard Feb. 22 and 23, and with it came the requisite headaches.
Folks were stuck in their homes, as streets remained unplowed for days. Essential employees had to get creative with their commuting methods. Several thousand Rhode Islanders endured power outages and downed tree limbs. And administrators are already worrying about how schools will be able to cram in all the required lessons for this year.
But through it all, in typical Rhode Island style, many of you found ways to have some fun. And as tales of the Blizzard of ’26 start to replace those from the Blizzard of ’78, perhaps these are the memories that will last the longest.
