TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department welcomed 20 new firefighters and EMTs on Friday as its 299th recruit class officially graduated after 28 weeks of intensive training.
The class finished with a 94% overall grade average, a mark that veteran firefighters say is rarely achieved.
