The Humane Society of Summit County Purses for Pooches Boutique Sale VIP Kick-Off: 5-7 p.m. March 16 at Happy Tails Thrift Shop, 1770 Merriman Road, Akron. Featuring new and “nearly new” purses, wallets, and fine jewelry, all benefiting animals in need. Admission to the VIP event is $10 cash only at the door, giving shoppers first access to the collection. The sale will continue during regular store hours while supplies last.
