A West Des Moines man was arrested Saturday night after he allegedly tried to murder his mother by cutting her throat.
Nathan Blake Norrell, 21, of 6300 Center St., West Des Moines, was charged with attempted murder and going armed with intent.
The incident began about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at a residence in the 6300 block of Center Street in West Des Moines, where a knife-wielding Norrell allegedly “attacked the victim, causing a large laceration to the left side of her neck,” according to court records…
