Vintage wiring blamed for house fire in Spokane’s Minnehaha neighborhood last Friday

SPOKANE, Wash. — An electrical fire at an old home in Spokane’s Minnehaha neighborhood last Friday left one person and two dogs displaced.

According to the Spokane Fire Department, an off-duty firefighter passed the house fire on East Hartson Avenue around 9:30 a.m. last Friday.

Fire crews arrived shortly and worked to put out the fire. SFD said the fire started in a wall with vintage electrical wiring and spread to the attic…
