LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Officials have confirmed yet another earthquake in the Lake Murray area, though not as strong as the one that rumbled the region just days earlier.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude 2.2 earthquake was reported around 1:55 p.m. on Sunday with an epicenter just outside of the lake, west of Yacht Cove and North Lake Drive.
The latest earthquake comes just days after one of the larger ones in recent memory to strike the area, a magnitude 3.0 that was in roughly the same area. That earthquake was felt over part of Lexington and Richland counties…
