Huntington’s Wiley wins U.S. title in 800 meters

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (WANE) – Northeast Indiana native Addy Wiley ran a personal-best 1:59.43 to win the 800 meter title at the 2026 U.S. Track & Field Indoor Championships on Sunday in Staten Island, New York.

Valery Tobias came in second with a time of 1:59.77.

Wiley, who was the 800 meter runner-up at the USATF Indoor Championships in 2024, is a Huntington native and a Huntington North High School graduate. The 22-year old competed two years at Huntington University before turning professional in January of 2024…
