Fresno moves to revise sidewalk vending rules after court decision

The City of Fresno is updating its Sidewalk Vending Ordinance following a recent court decision that found parts of local streetvending rules in conflict with state law.

The Fresno City Council last week approved an amendment intended to bring the city’s ordinance into compliance. A San Diego court ruling in favor of a street vendor led to the change, finding that some city rules on sidewalk vending broke state law.
