Indiana woman says she received $700 bill from power company for vacant home

INDIANAPOLIS (WKRC) – An Indiana woman claims she received a $700 bill from a power company for a home that was vacant.

According to WXIN, an Indianapolis family was shocked to learn that they had been charged over $700 for a vacant home.

Per the report, the children of the owner, who are responsible for the bills after their father’s passing in February of last year, have plans to renovate the property, which has been empty for an entire year. After receiving the electric bill, however, the family told WXIN’s reporters that the goal of fixing up the home feels out of reach due to the cost of keeping the power running…
