BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The M-96 bridge over I-94 is closing on Monday until the end of August.
As part of the $335 million Marshall Modernization Project, a construction project meant to improve I-94, I-69, M-96 and M-311 in Calhoun County, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is closing the Michigan Avenue (M-96) bridge over I-94 until Aug. 30, 2026, while crews rebuild the bridge, according to MDOT officials.

Traffic will be detoured on Wheatfield Parkway and 11 Mile Road until construction is complete.
