NAPLES, Fla. (WFLA) — A funeral for Florida Trooper Michael Diego is being held in Naples on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Diego was participating in a “competitive process” at the Florida Highway Patrol training academy when he suffered a medical emergency earlier this month.
Despite lifesaving efforts, he later died at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, FHP said. Diego is survived by his mother, sister and fiancé.
