As we celebrate 75 years of caring for our community this year, Baptist Health Care’s mission of helping people throughout life’s journey continues to guide everything we do. As our area’s only locally governed, not‑for‑profit health system, we exist for one purpose: to strengthen the health and well‑being of the communities we proudly serve. Our most recent Community Impact results reflect that commitment in action, demonstrating how deeply Baptist is woven into the fabric of Northwest Florida and how seriously we take our responsibility to care for our neighbors.
This past year, Baptist Health Care contributed nearly $60 million in total community benefit, a level of impact that speaks to both the needs of our region and the dedication of our team. That investment includes more than $34.5 million in charity care for uninsured and underinsured patients and $19.8 million in Medicaid shortfalls, ensuring that every person—regardless of their ability to pay—can receive high‑quality, compassionate care close to home. Since the opening of the new Baptist Hospital campus, we are providing nearly $10 million more annually in total community benefit than in years before the move. These numbers represent real people, real families, and real moments of need, and we are honored to be there for them.
Beyond the walls of our facilities, Baptist’s community outreach efforts touched more than 124,000 lives in 2025. Our team members contributed 118,028 hours of service through health education, screenings, faith‑based support, behavioral health outreach and community partnerships.
