At 9:52 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at East Academy Street and Fries Mill Road after one vehicle attempted to make a left hand turn and entered the path of a second vehicle traveling south, resulting in the crash, Clayton police said. One vehicle was overturned with three people trapped, police said.
EMS responded to the scene and extricated the trapped occupants, police said. Zara Zaman was transported to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, police said.
