Mayberry Sweeps Sprints at Big 12 Indoor Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas – TCU’s Indya Mayberry defended her Big 12 titles in the 60m and 200m to stay undefeated in the conference sprints in her collegiate career, and Yannik Knobloch broke his own school record in the Heptathlon to win silver on Saturday at the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Just a sophomore, Mayberry has won six Big 12 titles between the indoor and outdoor championship meets. The Fort Worth native swept the sprint races, taking the 60m title in 7.19 and running away with the 200m crown (22.50) with the No. 2 time in the nation and No. 2 in the world in 2026. With two Conference Titles and 20 points to her name, she was awarded the Big 12 High Point Performer award along with Oklahoma State’s Billah Jepkirui.

Knobloch competed in the final three events of the Heptathlon en route to his Runner-Up finish. He opened the day with an 8.24 60m hurdles, the eighth fastest time in school history. In the pole vault, he cleared 4.45m (14-7 ¼), and he hung on in the 1000m with a 2:44.54…
